The Bedford

Mark Steuer (formerly of Hot Chocolate) is the Executive Chef at this neighborhood bar and restaurant "serving seasonal American Contemporary - Midwestern fare with a carefully crafted cocktail list, locally sourced beer and boutique wines." And we have to say ... it shows. The food here is excellent.

The Bedford, named after the building's limestone exterior is located in the basement of the former MB Bank Building at Division, Ashland and Milwaukee Avenue. The old bank vault serves as the lounge area with a sleek, cool and contemporary twist. 

The Bedford is just stunning. The workmanship in the conversion from bank to bar has been flawless and the ambiance is truly one-of-a-kind. Although a step above your neighborhood pub, there's absolutely no attitude. The service and drinks are also excellent.
