Crust Closes Their Doors in Wicker Park

***Crust Eat Real *** has closed their doors 1-1-2012.

Although we don't have many details, we do know the owners of Crust told their staff after Christmas that they would be closing for financial reasons. They posted their good-bye to their customers via Facebook on New Years Day.

Each year more and more businesses have opened in the neighborhood which is terrific. But that also makes the neighborhood far more competitive than it has ever been before. We remember when Crust first opened their doors. They were only 1 of 4 restaurants that were "certified organic" in the entire US.

With specialty pizza, terrific salads and a great patio, they will be missed.
