Max's Wine Dive

In record speed, the space formerly the home of Covo Gyro Market was immediately leased. And not surprising to us, it's been leased to a chain restaurant. The chain restaurant is called Max's Wine Dive and offers "gourmet comfort food". Their mantra is "Fried Chicken and Champagne... Why the Hell Not?" 

According to their website, this Texas-based chain offers "a top-notch food and wine program" served in an eclectic and casual environment.

It's not surprising a chain restaurant is moving in because building owner/investor Jenel Management traditionally leases their commercial space to chain businesses. Jenel Management's current tenants include: Diptyque, Scotch & Soda, David's Tea and Second Time Around.

Look for Max's Wine Dive to open Summer 2014 at 1482 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park.
