Open Streets Wicker Park Bucktown

Open Streets first tested the concept in the Chicago Loop on State Street and in Wicker Park and Bucktown last year. And this year, they will be expanding their reach to extend beyond Western Avenue so a large part of Logan Square is also included.

Open Streets creates a safe public space on car-free streets. This is a free event designed to promote community culture and the arts. Milwaukee Avenue will be closed to vehicle (car/motorcycle) traffic from Division Street (1200 N. Milwaukee Avenue) to Kedzie. Activities are planned and will include a playground, yoga and skateboarding area.
